Children’s Worship: Adventures in Science

Children’s Worship is heading in a brand-new direction this year. Imagine taking great music, cool animated Bible stories, fun games, a challenging Scripture lesson, and combining those with an underground laboratory, an android, and one very wacky mad scientist—and what you end up with is a Children’s Worship your kids won’t want to miss. In fact, don’t be surprised if they start dragging you to church on Children’s Worship Sundays!

Room F will be transformed into the Adventures in Science Laboratory, occupied by Dr. Oppenheimerstein and her android assistant, Flask. Beakers, test tubes, wires, circuits, and whatever else you might expect to find in a mad-scientist’s lab. From the time they walk in to Children’s Worship, the kids will be immersed in Bible trivia and interactive illustrations that focus on the daily theme.

The overall concept behind “Adventures in Science” is to examine the mysterious and miraculous that show up in God’s Word. The mystery of God being everywhere, all the time…the miracle of Jesus taking away our sins… Scripture stories such as the creation, Jonah trying to escape from God, the resurrection...these are just a small sample of what will be covered this year. And everything is wrapped cleverly in an interactive and highly creative theme that will keep the kids engaged all year long.

If you don’t get a chance to come visit one of the Children’s Worship services this year, don’t worry—your children will tell you all about it!
